The social worker only works one day a week, so field nurses are required to perform as social workers while juggling all of the other day-to-day responsibilities. Office manager will approve certain suppy orders for patients and decline others if supplies cost over a certain amount. Visits are not geographically scheduled and may be anywhere from 5 minutes away to an hour away. Certain staff allowed to miss visits, while others are disclipined if ALL visits are not completed. If a day is missed, literally the entire office staff will know the exact reason. Office staff has cliques and gossip about field staff. Management threatens patients with loosing benefits if they request to reschedule/miss even one supervised aide visit. Scheduled visits may change literally over night. Visits are added throughout the day without notification from scheduler. On-call one day during each week, and one weekend out of the month. This is a 24/7 job that seems to never end. Patients are awesome, but management and office staff are horrible! Long days seeing patients and even longer nights documenting.
